Interstitial Cystitis Advice

Hi all. So glad to find this forum to be able to share and talk to others who suffer from the same issues. Here is my story: I am 39 years old. For the past 8 or 9 years or so, I have had episodic bloating including tenderness (around the public area), frequent urination, (seems like 10 mins after I go I feel I need to again). I don't have any painful urination or burning feeling. I do feel a slight relief from the bloating for the short time span till I am full again. My question is, I also have discomfort in my rectum during these episodes. I have to sit down very carefully or OUCH!!!!. Also, once the bloating is over, I do get gassy, my stomach girgles and I have constipation. I do read where IBS is an evil twin with this and they seem to pair together. I am getting worried again that it could be Ovarian Cancer. I really need to stop reading the internet about my symptoms! I have had a transvaginal ultrasound which was normal. My doc did say she saw a few lesions but she was not concerned about them. She did a pelvic exam and I did happen to be having an "episode" and she did fell a mass or something close to the pubic area and pushed on it... I told her, I don't know what that is but that is was is making me miserable. I am assuming she felt it was my bladder because that is when she gave me the pamplet on IC. I have a new GYNO now and she also did not seemed concerned about my symptoms. I did have spotting between my period a few months ago for one day and she did do an endometrial biopsy which came back fine. She does want me to get a hystosonogram (sp) (where they use saline and do another vaginal ultrasound to check for fibroids and polyps). So I guess that's why the whole ovarian cancer thing is scaring me again. I would assume that since my symptoms have been going on for so long that that is why the doctors aren't as worried? If anyone can shed some insight or hopefully having the same symptoms with the bloating, tenderness, rectal discomfort, consitpation etc??? Thanks so much!!!!
